An important consideration for those of us who have dogs, is where to place them when we go on that long-awaited and well-earned holiday.  Obviously friends and family will often help out – particularly if an amicable reciprocal arrangement can be made, if not, just how do you choose a good boarding kennel?  Cleanliness, security and quality care are all important.  We always visit to look round the kennels before deciding where to leave our pets.  If the kennels smell strongly, we walk away knowing that hygiene precautions may not be as high as we would like.  Likewise, if the dogs in the kennels seem relaxed and friendly, this would lead us to believe that our dogs would be happy there too.  Cost is not an issue, it’s down to peace of mind at the end of the day and that is priceless!
