Nick, who is fostering 2 cavaliers on behalf of Heronbank, has noticed that they go crazy for water! Here’s what he says …
Following the horrible weather yesterday and falling trees crushing cars right by our house, it’s quite unbelievable that today seems so contrastingly different with blue skies, a light breeze and warm sun.
We took the opportunity to take the dogs for a walk in the park this morning and took them down to the riverside.
Quite an unusual reaction from Molly and Charlie who were busting a gut to get into the water, barks of excitement ensued, so we decided to let them all have a play off the leads – here’s a video of Molly and Charlie making the most of the environment and having fun in the river whilst Rufus and Sox look on from the dry safety of the shore!:
Everyone’s settling in and the pack is now well established as there’s no shyness or animosity between any of the dogs – they all just get on together and do their things together.
Molly and Charlie definitely have an affinity for anything damp – whether it’s puddles, mud or rivers!!
With that in mind, they will need clipping, so that drying off and cleaning up after walks is not such a big job – no problem, that’s just part of having dogs
