Cyda always liked going into her babies after they’d eaten, and I suspected that this was more to do with the food than her babies. I was right. She developed quite soft poo and lots of it!!!
A sure sign of over-rich feeding as our vet, Andrew, at Donaldson & Partners explained. She’s all sorted now with a pro-biotic but we’ve taken the opportunity to reduce her milk still further, using a homoeopathic remedy from Charles Barrett, our Homoeopathist, in order to wean her away from her puppies.
This helps to prevent Mastitis and safely reduces her milk over a few days. Cyda and her puppies will still have interaction of course, but the milk supply will dwindle.
Her puppies are doing really well, eating softened Burns Minibites and lapping water (this helps to cleanse their palates better than milk substitute). They are getting all the nourishment from their food and are doing well, getting stronger, growing bigger. If you want strong, healthy puppies, they have to have good food and we know that Burns is just the thing for them!
The puppies will be ready for their new homes in just over 3 weeks – how time has flown! Homes are waiting for two of the puppies, so if anyone is interested in Cavalier Puppies for Sale, now is the time to contact us. We have a lovely black and tan girl and rubies of both sexes all for sale.
