Toby was attacked recently, out of the blue and without provocation. The dog who attacked was brindle in colour, powerfully built, heavy set and about 2 foot tall at the shoulder. She looked similar to an American Bulldog but probably was a cross breed. She was in rescue and normally kept in a kennel and relying on volunteer walkers for her exercise. She should have been kept on a lead but was allowed off and came across a wooded area and targeted Toby. He was lucky in that he was wearing a coat which undoubtedly saved him from the worst of the attack. Toby is sore but was not seriously hurt.
