This page is dedicated to beloved Pets who have passed away  -  All pets, not just Heronbank dogs.

It is intended to be like a Garden of Remembrance.

Visit as often as you wish, leave your comments.  Try to include the more positive and happy experiences you have shared with your pets.

Stay as long as you wish.

I wish for us all light, warmth and healing.

I am really missing Manny (Heronbank Mannanbeg) who died earlier this week. Toby his Grandson has become more “clingy” than usual, but is enjoying all the titbits, and extra long walks (which Manny couldn’t manage in the last few weeks).

I intend to attach Manny’s dog disc to a tree, in remembrance of his devotion and willingness to please.

Please watch the video to see how I prefer to remember him: -- a little dog with a big brave heart.

“Please tell her how sorry I am. I know how much it hurts, but I followed her advice after Dylan, and it helped.”

Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue received the sad news that Melvin the 2 year old Staffie x Ridgeback has passed away.
For the past two months Melvin was lucky enough to be fostered in a loving home.
Melvin, won the hearts of all who met him.
Melvin was stabbed during an attack on a neighbours small dog and had to be put to sleep.
All at YRDR are heartbroken. Our thoughts are with his fosterers, Jay and her family who are devastated.
Here’s a video I took of Melvin last summer, just being a dog.

I met Melvyn when he was with his last foster carers – he is a lovely people friendly dog with no bad habits that I could see.

Being personally concerned I cannot comment too much but there is more than one issue here, a 16 year old girl (of the caring family) who cared for Mel after the attack … my thoughts are with her she is devastated

Love to all that cared for Melvyn

In memory of Beanie, our first black and tan cavalier your strong personality shone through from day one and you were afraid of nothing, such a character who really should be still with us but was sadly taken to the angels at only 5 years old, miss you always, we now have your niece and although she is and never will be you, there is a great deal of her that reminds us of your funny ways.
    Miss you always xx

Also in memory of Penny my first black labrador, I used to save my pocket money up each week so I could buy a black labrador that I had always wanted and when the day came I knew you were the one to come home with us, I could not have asked anything more of you, you gave me everything you could, everyone loved you and you always loved coming to work with me, we always were together.
Not a day goes by without me thinking of, but your poor legs could not take anymore and I had to say goodbye.
Miss you so much big hug xx

In memory of Lauren and Tilly our first cavaliers you both showed us what a wonderful breed cavaliers are and now we would never want to be without one. Thank you for all the happiness you gave to us
    Miss you always xx

In memory of Carys and Amber two fabulous, friemdly and funny cavaliers.
Although I never knew either of you from being young the years we spent together made up for this. You each brought us happiness in your own funny little ways.
We will always miss you and always feel the space you have left behind .xx

Our best friend, Dylan (the villain), you left us much too early. If only you could have stayed with us forever. But we know you will always be with us in our hearts and in spirit. We hope that you are romping with Dickens and having a grand old time in “doggy heaven”.

    Our beloved Ava,
You used to love running along the canal, finding any mud, snow or horse poo that could make you mucky and scruffy.

Anything that could make the prettiest puppy with a face that butter wouldn’t melt get up to no good was your only want in life. That and anything else edible.

You left us far too early and will be dearly missed.
But the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long
