My behaviourist friend, Katie, sent me a text last night to say that one of her cats, Smoky, brought another cat home. They did not know what sex it is or anything about it, except hat it had been seen hanging around with her cats. In fact, when Katie took a close look, she is a heavily pregnant female who is starving. Katie has made a nest for her and is feeding her. She has allowed Katie to stroke her and is not unfriendly, just timid – understandably. Katie will keep her until she has had her kittens but will then need homes for them – homes which will have them neutered. Cats Protection League may be able to help with neutering vouchers.
Anyone who can offer a home or help in any way, eg. donations of food, blankets etc., please contact Heronbank.
