Hi Anne,
I have a male 11 month Cavalier. About a month ago he had an intermittent limp, happened every day over a week but I only caught it happening once a day as seconds later he would be normal again, always the back right hand leg. I had him fully checked and xrayed and they could find nothing, muscle tone, bone alignement all perfect they even tried on the knee cap but that seemed very secure. Then nothing seen until this week and again it’s happened twice. As a precaution he is seeing a physio and hydro therapist next week to build up the strength. I spoke to the breeder only this week and it looks like I have been maybe over exercising him. He loves playing ball and sometimes we might play fetch for an hour. How much exercise is safe? I think I am doing everything else right, he gets omega oil and has a glyco tablet. He has so much energy and loves walks but now I feel really guilty that maybe I have caused this.
Thank you.
Emma
