Did you know that most cats are lactose (which are sugars in milk) intolerant & drinking cow’s milk may result in a tummy upset & diarrhoea.  Nutritionally it is not necessary to give your cat milk, unless a kitten / growing cat or lactating queen.  Not all cats are lactose intolerant & a little milk as a treat may be fine, however if your cat is lactose intolerant you are risking a tummy upset & diarrhoea.  If you wish to give your cat milk, you can purchase special lactose free “cat milk” from your supermarket or pet store. Whisper has a drink of this first thing each morning, then the other cats come in and finish off what he has left.

Fresh water should always be available to your cat.
