The first results from the swabs taken recently when Cyda‘s knee problem was X-Rayed have come back Negative for aerobic infection – see http://www.heronbank.co.uk/2011/07/cyda-knee-problem/ So that’s good news. We have to wait a few days more for the anaerobic infection results, but she seems to be very good in herself and is using the leg extremely well.
We have been giving her Sinulox antibiotics as a general cover and an anti-inflammatory. All in all, things are going well and she should soon be back on the underwater treadmill at the Animal Rehabilitation Centre in Birchencliffe.
Hopefully she won’t need too many treatments now before she can be discharged.
