Our Cavalier puppies are now just over 6 weeks old. We have been careful in protecting them from disease during those vulnerable first few weeks. The use of a safe disinfectant which is powerful enough to prevent the importation of doggy diseases and the use of a foot-bath for visitors who do not wish to remove shoes, is paramount.
.
We do not walk our adult dogs when we have puppies for the same reason. They are absolutely fine and happy in the garden for now.
.
Of course, no-one can exclude disease completely, as some viruses are airborne, but we make every effort to ensure our puppies are safe, whilst at the same time allowing them a degree of freedom to explore and gain confidence.
.
As they reach 8 weeks of age, our puppies will be booked in with our Vets, Donaldson & Partners for their first vaccination and their second health-check (they had their first health-check within their first 24 hours of life).
.
Then they will be ready for their Great Adventure in their New Homes. Anyone who is interested in one of our puppies should contact us.
