As Fin has written about his day, I thought Olive should write about her days at work:  Olive says:

Rabbit Hunting!

Rabbit Hunting!

” We all get up 6.30 am on a school day this gives us chance for our breakfast and a wander in the garden before we set off to Mum’s work or my school which ever you would like to call it.

When we get there we go for a nice walk in the woods before all the human students arrive, I love to chase Blackbirds and look for rabbits in the woods I also like to say good morning to the new herd of young cows we have got but mum says I shouldnt do that as they may chase me!

We then settle into our day kennel after having a biscuit, we share our day kennel with our friend Suki the Saluki she is very tall compared to me but we all get on just fine.

As I am still quite small I have found that I can squeeze out of my kennel and go visiting other neighbouring friends in their kennel my mum has found me in Butch the Greyhounds kennel and also Bettie the Border Collie’s kennel but we all get on just fine so I like to visit others. We have lots of friends as work there are golden retrievers, lurchers, a cockerpoo, bassetts and many others.

Depending on what day of the week it is depends on what we will be doing some days we go on long walks through the woods with the human students other days the lady dog groomer comes in so I have lovely bath and my hair done.

Some days we do dog training where we teach the human students how to teach us (he-he!) thats fun as we can play up and gets lots of treats. I have been told when I am a bit older I can start to do agility training big sister Florence says that this is fun and I should be good at it.

Some days we also get dressed up, the students get bandages out and we have to pretend we have hurt ours paws or ears and they have to bandages us to make us better – again thats great fun.

After such a busy day we come home and have a well deserved tea then a sleep. About 7 we have a sweetie chew more sleep and cuddles on the sofa before a last wander round the garden and a biscuit to settle us down for bed.

During school holidays as you can imagine we get quite bored and can’t wait to get back to school to see all our friends!”
