Cyda and Skully are always up early, but I can’t be doing with all that! Mum gives me my morning meds in bed – in honey – yummy – then closes the door til I’m ready to get up. Then she changes our blankets and gives us a clean one.
After I’ve had my morning constitutional – twice round the back garden (there’s no grass there as I’m allergic to it), I get under mum’s desk for some more shuteye. The girls say I snore, but I don’t think so!!!
If it’s bath day – which is twice a week, mum and day take me to the bathroom. I stand in the bath on my own bath mat, whilst they shower me all over.
I’ve had so many baths now I can’t remember, and I know mum and dad mean well, so I don’t make a fuss, even when they soap my face and ears. Rinsing is the best bit, then they wrap me in a towel and I jump out for dad to dry me while mum rinses the bath – funny that, she’s just rinsed me, so you’d think it’d be clean!!! Then mum finishes drying me off and I go outside for a good shake.
Skully is a bit of a pest and pulls my ears!
Then it’s back under mum’s desk for another snooze.
Mum and dad have lunch and give me some more meds. I spend the afternoon relaxing with the girls – you’ve guessed it – under mum’s desk until it’s time for Mum and dad to have dinner. We go back into our bedroom for that because Skully is a pest and won’t take “NO” for an answer! Then we all go outside in the back garden and Spirit comes in from her day-pen.
We can go through to the Lounge then to watch TV. Animal Planet is good, but Skully barks at the animals – I tell her the Lions will eat her, but she doesn’t listen! Best of all I get into a comfortable chair and snooze until bed-time.
Mum and dad clean out my eyes and put some sticky stuff in – I can’t see clearly for a while after that but my eyes feel good. Then they clean out my ears and put some drops in. I can’t hear too well after that but my ears don’t itch!
At 10pm sharp, Mum gets my meds ready while dad takes us for a final run in the garden. When we come in, mum gives me my meds and everyone gets a Cod Liver Oil tablet, which is great. Then it’s back to bed for a well-earned rest.
Goodnight!
… Fin
[…] It’s not like Fin to get up early, he’s always way behind the girls, but not today! […]
We look forward to that.
