With the colder weather, you may notice fleas on your dog. They need to be treated as well as their bedding and your carpets and furnishings, as there is nothing a flea likes better than a cosy place to lay it’s eggs.
I use Frontline spray every 2 months, – on adult dogs a dose of up to 6ml per kg bodyweight is recommended. Avoid ears and eyes.
Bathing should be done first, although a bath should not reduce the effectiveness of frontline after the first week of treatment.
I’m actually allergic to bites from dog fleas and come up in big red lumps if bitten, so they are definitely best eliminated.
